What Does NCVET Recognition Mean?
Understanding NCVET
The National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET) is India’s apex regulatory body responsible for maintaining quality, credibility, and consistency across vocational education and training systems.
Established on 5th December 2018 under the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India, NCVET regulates standards within the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) ecosystem. Its core mandate is to ensure that vocational qualifications remain industry-relevant, outcome-driven, and nationally standardized.
NCVET plays a pivotal role in aligning vocational education with workforce needs by overseeing qualification approval, awarding bodies, assessment agencies, and adherence to the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF).
